Leveraging resources and dynamic capabilities for organizational resilience amid COVID-19

Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the effectiveness resource-based view (RBV) and dynamic capabilities (DCs) settle problem how why a firm could achieve successful resilience under context COVID-19. Design/methodology/approach: A survey conducted among 596 Chinese firms, structural equation model applied. Findings/results: empirical results indicate that both valuable, rare, inimitable, non-substitutable (VRIN) non-VRIN resources can promote better organisational (OR). Moreover, DCs mediate relationship between RBV OR. Specifically, fully connection OR, while they only partially VRIN Practical implications: provide recommendations for proceed in environments where significant crises outbreaks may occur. These findings are useful business decision-making enabling companies develop new strategies. Originality/value: Previous studies have investigated drivers OR from perception strategies practices. This is first empirically test as intermediary variable enterprises
